Welcome.

We're glad you are interested in finding out more information about JWI.

It's important that the "philosophy" of the guild and/or frequently asked questions be addressed here, so that you may understand the principles upon which we are founded.

We are not a family guild. Make no mistake, this is a raiding guild, and while there are many other guilds who would argue the use of the term "hardcore", we do take the time we spend on Warcraft very seriously. Many people use the worn out excuse of "It's just a game." While this is true, Football is just a game as well, yet Peyton Manning takes very seriously the time he spends practicing and playing games. Granted, he gets paid for it, but the concept rings true. We're in this to win.

We want you to succeed. We want each and every one of our members to better themselves and their characters. We want each person with the tag to be that "go-to guy". This means we'll do our part to help guild members progress whether through heroics or Naxx10. Once you join, you're one of us, you will not be treated as "one of the new guys". Our progression as a guild hinges on the individual, enjoying personal success with your character. Success is not just defined by gear, success is defined largely by our member's fluency with their class and knowledge of game mechanics. Realize that nobody has "reached the top", nobody knows everything about their class or how to play, there's ALWAYS something more we can learn, this applies to all of us.

For us to succeed with our goals, we build this guild on individuals. Members are not drones, they are not mindless sheep. If they were, we'd never get anywhere as a raiding team, we'd be stuck farming low end content forever. Each one of our members is a free thinking individual who can make his/her own decisions. There is structure, there is raid leadership and there is discipline we all fall in to, but we don't have to tell members when to heal, when to nuke, when to hit taunt, when to drink. We expect our members to be real people, capable of learning and adapting. This is why it is critical that we choose the right people to fill our raid slots.
